Building a Better Central Oregon Announces 2019 Awardees

Bend, OR. Sept. 9, 2019. The Central Oregon Association of REALTORS® (COAR) will present the 43rd Annual Building a Better Central Oregon (BBCO) Awards Oct. 16, 2019 at the Tetherow Resort. BBCO’s main purpose is to recognize worthy residents who have enhanced their community with outstanding new or renovated residential, commercial or industrial buildings. Projects are judged on economic impact, neighborhood improvement, unique design or use of materials. These 11 projects and two honorable mentions represent the best examples of economic and community improvement throughout the region.

Bend, Or (July 29, 2019) –The Central Oregon Association of Realtors(COAR)has received a $5,000 Placemaking grant from the National Association of Realtors(NAR) to help make Jefferson County a better place to live by creating greater access to amulti-use trail systemfor walkers, runners, horse riders, mountain bikers and e-bike riders. The Madras East Hills TrailsProject is a trail system east of town, just across from Juniper Hills Park. COAR is also contributing $500toward the project. Madras Realtors recently volunteered at the trail system, installing signs and helping to build and refine trail features such as berms.
